Postiz Self Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Postiz Self. By accessing or using Postiz Self ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Postiz Self.

Postiz Self is the official application name registered with TikTok for Developers. It is a self-hosted social media scheduling platform that allows users to schedule and publish content to various social media platforms.

2. Description of Postiz Self Service

Postiz Self provides the following functionality:

• Social Media Account Connection: Connect your social media accounts to Postiz Self using secure OAuth authentication
• Content Scheduling: Upload and schedule videos, images, and text content for future publication
• Automated Publishing: Postiz Self automatically publishes your scheduled content to connected platforms using official platform APIs
• Dashboard Management: View and manage all your connected accounts and scheduled posts from a single interface

3. User Accounts

To use Postiz Self, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required by your local laws)
• Provide accurate and complete information when creating your Postiz Self account
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your Postiz Self account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

4. Connected Social Media Accounts

When you connect social media accounts to Postiz Self:

• You authorize Postiz Self to access certain information and perform actions on your behalf through official platform APIs
• You remain responsible for all content published through Postiz Self to your social media accounts
• You may disconnect any social media account from Postiz Self at any time
• You must comply with each platform's terms of service when using Postiz Self to publish content

5. Acceptable Use

When using Postiz Self, you agree NOT to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Upload or schedule content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Spam or send unsolicited content through Postiz Self
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Postiz Self or other users' accounts
• Use Postiz Self to distribute malware or malicious code
• Interfere with or disrupt the Postiz Self service or servers
• Violate the terms of service of any connected social media platform

6. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Postiz Self. By using Postiz Self to schedule and publish content, you grant Postiz Self a limited license to:

• Store your content temporarily for scheduling purposes
• Transmit your content to the designated social media platforms for publishing
• Display your content within the Postiz Self dashboard

This license terminates when you delete your content from Postiz Self or close your account.

7. Third-Party Platforms

Postiz Self integrates with third-party social media platforms. Your use of these platforms through Postiz Self is subject to their respective terms of service. Please consult each platform's documentation for details on their terms and conditions. Postiz Self is not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of these third-party platforms.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

POSTIZ IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of any content

We do not guarantee that scheduled posts will always be published successfully, as this depends on third-party platform availability and API functionality.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POSTIZ AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Failed or delayed post publications
• Account suspensions or bans on third-party platforms
• Any damages arising from your use of or inability to use Postiz Self

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Postiz Self and its developers from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of Postiz Self
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you publish through Postiz Self

11. Termination

You may stop using Postiz Self at any time by deleting your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Postiz Self if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited activities.

Upon termination, your right to use Postiz Self will cease immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Postiz Self Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Postiz Self after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
